i have a dv4t that used to come with windows vista. back when it had vista, i heard that the on screen display from hp won't work with 64bit operation system. now i have upgraded to windows 7 64 bit. has anyone gotten on screen display for volume control working for windows 7 64 bit? i couldn't find the driver for the dv4t on the hp website

I have Vista 64 bit on a dv5t, and no, there is no on-screen display. For me, this is a plus, because I don't want the on-screen display interfering with my movies, videos, etc. Apparently Windows 7 doesn't provide the on-screen volume display with the 64 bit system either, but you might start thinking of that as a plus too. We can always check and change the volume using either the volume icon in the Systems Tray, or the Volume Control buttons over the keypad --- that's enough volume options for me!
