personally i think they look great and everything, but i think they are alittle to sensitive.

when i wipe down the computer while its on near the quick play buttons i almost all the time activate the quick play and it annoys me sometimes.

BTW is it just me or is the majority of the problems comming from the dv2000 model or what. seems like everybody is comming out of the woodwork complaining about something wrong with their machine.

i pray im not the next person to complain about something although my speakers are sounding all crackley but i can live with that i guess.

Man, you really are head over heels over your 'beast'! It's been barely a week since your paths crossed, but you have already managed to devote to her 289 love letters--trivial and weighty. Watch out that your devotion does not become obsessive and overtake your other commitments. ;)

It is not 2 sensitive, but 3 sensitive.
I tried on DV6000 in store several times. When I push a little harder on vents that close to QP button, guess what? It starts QP. But that doesn't happen on DV2000. That's why I said in other thread, the DV6000 is not a strong build with an easily bend rack. DV2000 feel much stronger maybe just because it is smaller.

I'm not a fan of 'touch sensitive' buttons personally. I love the way they look, but I would trade in for something ugly if it meant not having to worry about stuff opening up when you don't want it to.

i like the idea they have with the touch sensitive buttons but they need to figure out a way to stop opening quick play all the time. perhaps on the one button that starts it have it where you have to put ur finger on it for a few seconds or something.

I have a compaq V6000 with the same type buttons. My quickplay is just like yours, barely brush it and it comes on. The volume slide is kewl though. While this compaq version looks great, it isnt as sexy looking as the HP version.Mine too has the amd cpu in it. I think it sort of silly the way everyone looks down on it because it falls short in some benchmarks against the C2 duo, lol. I have nothing against intel but have always been an AMD fan so im sticking with it. I wish i could have got the 7200 go instead of the 6150 GO in mine but truth is it plays the games i mostly play without any complaints, (CCS and UT03). Im not sure if your hp 6000 has the same screen as mine but it rocks! I have 4 laptops and this one is by far the best i have used. All in all i am tickled pink with mine so i totally understand your inthusiasium with yours. Heck, if it had a padded top i would use it as a pillow in bed at night, lol.

What gets me is so many people say the core2 duo stomps the turion. Well from what i see that is only in certain benchmarks. Benchmarks are like polls, if you set out to prove your point you always find what you want. Seems they need to keep comming up with new bench programs to come up with a pre configured idea.Too, every time someone has a post about upgrading a PM 1.6 to a PM 2.0 cpu, witch with a little looking around is not an expensive upgrade at all, everyone tells them it is a waste of time and money , that you wont be able to tell the diffrence in the two. I would think the diff on a benchmark would be greater between the 1.6/2.0 PM than the core2duo/turion. I think way too many people buy into all the advertizing hype BS.I think it would make a very intertaining show to have a bunch play a game on several diffrent laptops and guess what ones had core2 duo and witch were turions, maybe even throw a PM in the mix too. I have a feeling THAT benchmark would show that you cant in reality , tell any diffrence in them at all, lol.
