I try to use RM Clock to undervolt my ML-30 processor. However, My FID is constant, i cannot changed it at all. I only can change the VIP. I follow the guide that i found from internet, but when i click the defaults button for those P-State list, i cannot find a list at all, i only get one index, and when i try to modify it, I found the FID is constant. Does anybody can give me a hand? thanks in advance! BTW, it's dangerous that just modifying the voltage?

Have you checked the "Enable FID/VID change" box in the advanced tab?

Also try to Add a new FID/VID instead of changing the default one. This should open up the option to change the VID for the default(highest) FID.

Undervolting should not harm the system, just make sure you set a voltage which is stable. If you set anything lower than what is stable the system will crash. A restart usually gets the system back to full functionality.

I don't fully understand the p-state transition in RM Clock. When i configure the RM Clock, i found there's only one index there, it's 4x1.00v. I try to manually add 8x-1.5v as my maximal. and change it to 8x-1.275v. So in my p-state transition list, there are only these 2 indexs. I'm not sure whether i should add more indexs or the RM clock can automatically change among the maximal and minimal. But when i check the general tab. it's always the highest fequency. I'm a litte confuesed about this p-state transition setup.

Well, you can add as many intermediate steppings as you want. But I would suggest 3 as the ideal. This way the cpu wont be going to the highest FID/VID everytime it needs some power. This helps in saving some battery life and less heat.

Also, what is your performance profile settings. Set it to Automatic management for AC with balanced Power/performance. Change it to Minimal for battery and balanced mode.

*Also Please try to continue your old thread you posted yesterday. This also on the same topic.
