Hi, I know people have written a lot about this issue and I found a link on this forum the other day to a download on the HP site that is supposed to stop the buzzing on HP pavilions. I forgot to bookmark it, and my searches haven't managed to find it again (I just bought a dv2530ea this morning and already the buzzing is really annoying). Does anyone have the link? thanks!

    thanks very much, appreciate it.

it doesn't list the dv2500 series in the 'SP34782 Instructions/Information' - do you think it's okay to use this with a dv2500?

    Does this work?

I have a dv9207us with a slight hissing/buzzing sound. It's noticeable only when ambient noise is low. It would be great if this can do the trick.

The link says its basically a BIOS update - F.16. I think this is the BIOS version of my dv9207us. I'll check later when I get home...now using an HP nc6400.

If it is F.16 then there's no point getting this right...

Download the BIOS for your system from here...
    http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=drivers
Looks like there are currently only 2 BIOS versions available for the dv2500t - F0A and F05A.

No, its not OK to use the dv2000/V6000/dv9000 BIOS for the dv2500t. It uses a completely different platform compared to the dv2000 series.

I'm surprised by HP's move - this does exactly what RMClock does for my T60 to reduce / eliminate that buzzing! now if only Lenovo did this, haha
