    pavilion dv Memory card icon change

    Okay, the icon that the card reader uses is horrendous!

    I cannot find a way to change it, I have tired autorun.inf tricks and even using winbubble to change the icon. But its wont change the little bugger.

    Anyone know a way to change this, be it registry key changes, I dont really care what it takes, it just needs to go away.

    It`s usually an .ico file, you normal just delete it and it goes, but i suppose you have tried that

    I dont even know where the icon is saved. The icon changed when I installed the drivers for the card reader from a fresh install of vista. And now I cant change it back to orig vista icon or anything else.

    Do you mean the icon in 'Computer' ? the one that looks like the other drive icons in there.

    If all else fails, search for the icon file in the windows folder and just manually edit it in paint or replace the file.

    I have tried to search for it. Cant find it. Looked for .ico all over the place. Still no luck.

    I have the pic on my orig post of what it looks like. Nobody else has this retarded icon???
