    I brought the above, new with 1 years warrenty but when it arrived I was looking at the specs for the drives and it only shows two drives with a total of 148.55 gig.
    the specs say it is a 160 gig HDD where would the other 10.52 gig be hiding??
    surely it cant use that much in the partitioning??

    Thats quite normal. HD manufacturers list the spec in binary meaning they count 1GB=1000MB while 1GB is acually equal to 1024MB. Hence you are seeing the difference in the advertised capacity vs the actual capacity. Your recovery partition is also included in the 148.55GB.
