I dont know if this is a unique issue or not ( i may not be posting this in the right thread) but since i had a hp laptop i thought id try here first.
As most people do, i like to test different demo programs to see if i like it or not. One of themost recent ones i tried was Diskeeper 10 Pro version. ( defragmenting program) after the demo expired, i uninstalled. I had run several of Microsoft defragments after that, then a few days later, out of the blue, it stopped working. Defrag will open and it will show me all the drives, but the analyze and degrag buttons, when clicked do nothing. It doesnt start the defrag process nor will it run the scan to check for fragments. Odd thing is I used the demo program on my desktop and the same thing happened. It worked for a bit, then stopped working. Cant find any info anywhere about this. I've run a restore with no fix. any throughts or ideas short of reinstalling the os. Feel free to email me if you have any ideas or post here. [email protected]
