a couple of hours ago my battery was 11% so i plugged the comp in (Pavilion dv4t) and it said "plugged in, not charging" i'm not worried because it started charging half an hour after i plugged it in. The processors were averaging a total of about 70% at the time. The screen was at full brightness and the fans were audible. I'm just curious as to why it says "not charging".

the battery wont charge if the temp of the battery is above a certain temperature. so that one reason it wont charge. after it cools down it will recharge itself.

uhmm...as a person who experienced that I could give a little advice.

Next time that happens, do the following:

    Turn off the notebook.
Remove the battery and the AC plug.
Hold down the power button for 10 seconds (helps with static and common power problems).
Insert the battery and AC plug.
    Turn on the notebook.

    VOILA! MAGIC!
