Hi guys, sorry if this a noob question haven't been into computers the past few years and I'm going through the shock of having to learn all this new stuff. Back in my days we were happy with a 1.44mg floppy lol

Anyway I am the happy owner of an AMD based Dv6747, I have upgraded the ram to 4GB(windows only sees about 3.4gb) and downgraded it to xp. Everything works fine but I think I still need a bit more speed from it. I have to have the current windows partition encrypted with truecrypt (lots of sensitive financial info) And the other partition is hidden and used only to store non sensitive media files. Read/write speeds seem to have taken a hit with the encryption and seems like the next obvious choice for upgrades.

I really like the "RANSCEND 32GB EXPRESS CARD EXPRESSCARD SSD"
My plan if possible is to run windows and all the apps from the SSD and leave the factory HD for non sensitive file storage. What I need help with is figuring out if it is possible to get the bios into booting from the express slot?

I have looked around and cant find an answer to my question, I thank you guys for all the help

I do not think I have ever seen a laptop that supports booting from the EC slot. My guess is 'no.'
