SO i was trying too take apart my computer and then when i put it together I had problems taking that top part with the media buttons on my DV6000t. When I finished my power button stopped working... WHats going on here? I dont see any external damage. Actually i thought i ripped that power strip thing but i dont see any damage too it.

Also on another note I was being really stupid, A screw started to strip, the 1 by the ram and I didnt read up on using a screw extractor, I figured Id break some plastic around the screw so i can get to the screw with pliers however when i did, some metallic film came off.. I have a hunch that its to protect the ram from magnetic charges on some screw drivers but I could be wrong.

    Any thought on this?

This may sound obvious, but did you definitely plug all the cables back in firmly?

    yes, I did.

now my computer has a highpitch kinda beep, u usually hear it on computers that are a couple years old... its not like a beep from the speakers but from somewhere inside my computer. Any thought to it?
