    power indicator LED remains ON after shutdown

    Hi Guys
    I am having this weird problem have searched probably the whole net and couldn't find any solution for this, hope anyone over here has something to say
    soo....
    I have a HP ENVY 14(2020-nr) running Windows 7 64-bit the problem is whenever i shutdown my laptop the power
    indicator (on the right where AC cord is plugged in) remains ON even when no AC cord connected...
    moreover in windows it keeps on showing the charging icon stating "Plugged in, Not charging.....

    uptill now i have tried the following things

    1)I have tried taking out the battery and running on AC supply method but still the same

    2)I tried unistalling the ACPI in device manager under battery but no luck

    3)finllay i did a factory restore still it didnt dixed :mad:

    please help me out :(

    I am not familiar with this issue. Have you tried contacting HP since the restore didn't resolve the problem?
