    w/ compaq evo 1020v
    well i got this laptop from a teacher from local school,she says working laptop
    but needs to recharge battery.
    well the lappy has been charging for two hrs.and still blinks orange.i turned it on
    and green lite comes on w/still blinks orange .there is nothing at all on lcd.'i then hooked it up to working monitor still no winders at all.
    please help me.
    on the side repairs are an option if need be(almost anyone from this forum that is) i called # left by teacher (no such #)

    Does the laptop work when it's connected to the power supply and without the battery?

    no
    the laptop amber power lite is on and the green power lite is on but no display ,
    bios or nothing comes on.
