Win XP has several power schemes like "Portable/Laptop", "Always On", etc
The Question here is, what do they do?

I can see that the different schemes affect the time when the laptop turns off the screen, goes on stand-by, etc, but it also seems to me, that some of the schemes change the CPU performance.

Where can I see what each power scheme actually affects?
