I just ordered a dv6 7000 quad, with windows 7 (one of the last) and am wondering what preloaded software/bloatware most of you have deemed unnecessary, and removed. Thanks

I left on HP support assistant and necessary framework for driver updates, besides that I got rid of the rest of the HP bloat. I just bought a dv6-7014nr a month or so ago and I have to say it was not completely inundated with crap! also checkout http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...x-probably-dv7-7xxx-fan-temperature-mods.html for a very handy mod to help drop temps a bit if you see that becoming an issue. and look on the forum for acceptable wifi cards I was unhappy with the broadcom 4213 that came with my system and swapped it for an intel 6235 which is on the whitelist for the insyde bios.
