    my notebook shows 2 hard drives. drive C which is the local drive and drive D named PRESARIO_RP. what is the presario_rp drive for? thanx .

    That's the OS Recovery Partition. Instead of an actual CD with the operating system and drivers on it, many companies are just putting it all in a partition on the hard drive to save time and money from making cds.
