More problems. I have a Compaq Presario M2000. I sent it back to HP, a little over a week ago and got it back yesterday. Yesterday it was running just fine until it turned off twice. It did it today too. It'll just shut off and sometimes it'll decide not to come on. It tried to. But when I turn it on, it turns on normally. I have no idea. Could it have something to do with a lose wire or the fan?

    Thanks. Bye.

It's worth checking to make sure the fan turns on. Core Temp will let you monitor the CPU temperature. I read one report where HP neglected to reconnect the fan when they put the machine back together. Thermal shutdown is the most likely explanation for your problem.

Thankyou. Do you think I'll have to send it back or can I take it to a local computer shop so they can check the fan. Right now I really think its the fan. I can't really hate HP though. Thanks.
