Okay, so i replaced the regular hard drive in my envy 14 with a SSD, and booted it with a fresh install of windows 7. However, the resolution of my screen is very low, and i am also unable to connect to the internet. I believe my problem is that i need to re-install all of the drivers, which i suppose i failed to backup. Am i right? If so, how would i go about doing that? Do i need save the drivers on a DVD disk from another computer so i can transfer them to my envy? How do i do that? Thank you very much for any responses is get. I need to fix this before i go back to school!! :(

    1. Install ATI drivers from HP.com
    2. Update them to the newest ones 11.6 or something like that.
    3. Change resolution.
    4. Install LAN drivers.
    5. Instal HP Assistant and WiFi card drivers.

Thank you szadzik. Is that all that I need to do? And how do I install the drivers if I can't connect to the internet without them? Thanks

Did you not save any drivers from the HDD? Put the old one back in and copy the SWSetup folder onto a USB evice and then use that to install them on the SSD.

Install only what you have problems with, plus of course applications to use the fn buttons etc. No need to keep anything else - no drivers at least.
