    Hello,
I've purchased the HP pavilion dv9750EJ, and so far I'm really disappointed...
My old computer was pavilion 4900, which was 4 years older than the new one, but it seems like in the past 4 years not a lot has changed..

    These are my problems:

    1. The fans are working most of the time (different speed, but working), and sometimes they get really noisy, even after I followed your guide on how to make Vista go faster (loosing the Aero, etc..)
I heightened my laptop (using a book...) Just so it won't suck in hot air, but it didn't change much the fans noise/speed.

    2. Videos are lagging. It's difficult to explain in which manner, but it's sort of flickering, especially when there are fast scenes. I don't think it's a codec problem because I tried it on both K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, and VLC.
I tried to update the Video card drivers from Nvidia website (I have the Gforce 8400M), but it said I should download the drivers directly from the HP website, and when I go there, it seems that I have the latest drivers...

    3. I'm using Photoshop CS3, and it opens really quick compare to my old computer, but depends on the size of the document and how long I'm working on it, it start lagging!!!! It NEVER happened to me in my old computer, even while working on much larger files!!!

All of these things didn't happen on my OLD laptop!!!!

So what should I do? Is it all Vista's fault? Please help me because it's driving me nuts. Should I go back to Windows XP?

I have the latest updates from Vista, I'm using Kaspersky Security Suit and SuperAntiSpyware, and my computer is really free of any toolbar or other malicious programs, so I don't see any other reason for hogging my computer like this..

Please help me with to find a solution for these issues, I'd really appreciate your help!

    Tom
