    I can't get this burner to write at speeds over 8x even though it is a 16x drive. I have used a couple of different dvd +r disks and none will write at 16x on this drive, but will write at 16x on my desktop computer. I mostly use Verbatum disks. Is there a firmware update for the HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N drive?
    Is there anyone who can burn at 16x with this drive, and if you can what disks are you using?
