I am pretty sure that I am going to purchase the DV6120ca and it says that its processor is:
1.73 GHz Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile technology featuring Intel® Core Duo processor T2250 (2MB L2 cache)
Is this core duo, or just sort of like core duo, why didn't they just say core duo?
-
Because the system qualifies to be branded as a Centrino. A system which has a Core duo or Core 2 Duo plus Intel Wifi plus Intel chipset(in your case i945) is branded as a 'Centrino Duo'.
Its just marketing BS, nothing to worry about. The processors itself will be a Core Duo T2250. -
so is it better than, worse than, or the same as core duo?

It is a Core Duo, pure and simple. Notice the "featuring Intel® Core™ Duo processor T2250 (2MB L2 cache) " in the statement you supplied. It says all you need to know.
-
Its the same. As I mentioned before if your system has the 3 Intel components then your system gets branded as a Centrino. The manufacturers tend to go overboard & refer the processor as a Centrino Duo even though it is the same Core Duo or Core 2 Duo.

Now i understand.... Thanks!
