    im buying a dv6748us can anyone tell me if it plays hd dvd
    and weather its graphics will be ok while playing the sims (mostly)
    gta and nfs(rarely)

    can you state the specs?

    if it has a Geforce 8400m GS then it will play those games you listed

    HD-dvd is gone now, they stopped production for it. Blu-ray won the war.
