    Hello everybody....

    I recently noticed a problem w/ battery life dropping significantly and watched what my processor was doing and it is constantly chuggin away at 33-40% because qpservice.exe is doint something.

    This hasn't happened before.... and sometimes when I shutdown windows it warns me that it can't close qpservice.exe leading me to believe the app is malfunctioning.

    I know it has something to do with the quickplay feature on these HP laptops.

    The only system change I've made recently that I can think of is resizing and adding partitions to my hard drive, but never touched the position of the two partitions used by HP_restore and the 1gb quickplay partition....

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Zach

    Start --> Run --> msconfig

    Startup Tab, uncheck qpservice.exe, hit apply.
