    Hi,
I couldn't find any review for HP NC4400 in Internet. It has very good price and it is very light.

But how about its XGA lcd??....
How about noise and heat considerations??...

I couldn't find any reviews either, but decided to jump in and get it after a co-worker brought his into work. I bought it about 3 weeks ago and have been in love ever since. I have the 2gb T7200 machine that came with XP Pro and installed Vista Business on it. Even with just a gig or ram it really works well.

The XGA screen is nice and bright and the fan runs every now and then. The fan isn't noisy at all and the notebook doesn't get hot sitting on my lap. The one thing that really suprised me was the battery life. I'm getting better than 3 hours with brightness set at about 75-80% and wireless on. Color me surprised!

I was originally worried about buying a notebook without an optical drive (so much so that I bought a 20x lightscribe external drive from Tiger Direct) and I shouldn't have worried. Since burning the restore disks, installing Vista and my applications I haven't needed it at all. I will caution you that in my case I have a regular desktop with shared folders that I back up to nightly, so your situation may be different...

Would I do it again, absolutely. This thing is a great road warrior/portable solution. The keyboard is nice and it is really powerful for a sub notebook.

    Hope that this helps. :)
