I was wondering what model of the intel graphics chip is in the dv1000. I just assumed it was the one that takes 64 mb ram from the computer, but is it a lesser one that takes 32? just curious...

The graphics adapter in the dv1000 dynamically allocates memory based on need. The minimum allocated is 32MB and the max is 64MB - making it, in essence, a 64MB card. Depending on what software properties panel you may view, you may see it reported as either 32MB or 64MB - but it is a "32MB min/64MB max" card. This information comes from Intel's website.
