    i currently own a dv7t that has 6770m
    and i really enjoy it, i dont really play highend games
    only game i really spend time playing is LoL which 6770m handles very well
    with maxed setting.

    and im about to buy another dv7t because im giving mine to my brother,

    and my questions starts here

    current hp dv7t gpu option has
    1gb 7470
    1gb 7690
    2gb 7690

    if i am to buy pavilion right now i would go for 1gb7690
    which i belived is slightly overclocked 6770m so it would have same/better
    performance than 6770m.
    and 2gb is just waste of money since its just a sales gimmick
    just like the 2gb 6770m (correct me if im wrong)

    and with coupon its about 960 (1080display)which is great bang-for-the buck.

    BUT i just read a thread that theres gonna be new hp pavillion
    with nvidia 630m soon..

    im wondering if 630m is worth the wait..

    i mean does anyone have any idea on the performance of 630m
    compare to 6770m or 7690?

    if its slightly better i would wiat
    but i just read a comment that its even a downgrade..

    any help and comments would be taken with great appreciation thanks

    oh and another question is,
    when the new pavilion is relaesed, would the cost range be similar (less than 1000 with coupon) or slightly higher for its new?

    The 630m is just a renamed 5XXm. It's either the 540, the 550, or 555m; I'm not sure which. It's slower than the 7690m, but almost certainly won't be the only choice of gpu.

    At notebookcheck.com you can see a guess or two as to its performance and specifications.

    NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M - Notebookcheck.net Tech

    I imagine the prices will be similar. vr-zone.com just posted an article that claims to have the starting prices for the new models. $850 for the dv7t. That's higher than the current dv7t with the core i3, but it will come standard with at least a core i5, so I'm not sure about the price difference.

    [edit] On second thought, it does look a little more expensive, assuming the options will cost about the same.

    [edit2] I forgot to realize that the prices might not be that accurate, since they're just using the exchange rate to get an approximation from Asia Pacific market prices.

    GT610M = GT520M
    GT630M = GT540M/GT550M
    GT635M = GT555M
    GT670M = GT570M
    GT675M = GT580M

    Kepler's GPU should be
    GT640M
    GT650M
    GT680M

    I don't know about GT660M. :D
