Compaq claims the 515 will be compatible with suse linux. It seems the ones sold in japan have linux installed however I think hell will reach a temperature below the zero point energy before USA computers will come with linux installed. Compaq comes with drivelock their website was no help it seems to encrypt the whole hard drive. Does drivelock reside in the hard drive or the computer? Can it be turned off? Can it be removed? Does drivelock conflict with windows own encryption? Since drivelock has a master password how long will it be before other governments crack that password. Does the 515 have a recovery partition? Does the recovery partition have bloatware like norton installed. Will I be arrested after the recovery partition reloads norton even after it has expired and updated itself without my permission? Does the 515 have the feature that allows movies to watched fast forward with sound?
