I am going to get the dv5t tonight probably (even though i missed out on the $400 off) and was wondering what was are some good ram kits to go with and also what speed is the ram? I am ordering it with the 64bit vista and only 2gb ram and want to upgrade to 4gb so i need to purchase two sticks of 2gb ram. Thanks for the help.

    I am assuming PC2 6400 at 800 MHz. That's what the DV7T has.

However the DV9700 had the same type of ram from the DV6700.

The new HP notebooks can hold up to 8 gigabytes of ram.

I don't think you missed out on the $400 off. People are still claiming for it to work with their orders. Make sure you don't have any others discounts applied, such as the APP program.

I think its a pretty good deal. I hope that the glare from the infinity screen isn't that horrible and there aren't too many problems with vista 64bit. I've got to be able to play COD4 and run some GIS software.

The only problems you might have with 64 bit is certain device incompatibility issues, but I have yet to see any.

I play COD4 on 64 bit perfectly fine. All of my video, photo and sound editing tools run great as well. In fact I honestly feel a little speed boost over 32 bit, but might just be me.
