i got this laptop as a replacement for one of my other laptops that broke. they said they coudlnt fix it in a timely manner and would just replace it.
    anyway:

my laptop seems like it skips a beat sometimes, it just freezes for a second or two. the thing is, the hard drive soudns like its overspinning, and makes a very loud like whirring sound. when i looked at the resource monitor, the Highet active time on the disk would spike to 100% (this is when the freezes occur). they occur at times when im not even using the laptop, its just sitting idle. any way to fix it?
