    recovery disks from recovery partiton

    hai nbr,
    i had got a hdx 16 with home premium 64bit...due to sme reasons my OS got corrupted b4 i could take my recovery disks....so now i hav installed windows vista that i had bought for my desktop on my hdx 16.but the recovery partition is as it is.is there any way by which i can take my recovery disks from that partition..come on guyz help me

    Pay $20 for a recovery disk from HP like I did. And no I don't know about your issue.

    hay dude..the main issue now is that i hav come to india on a proj work and settled down here..it would take atleast two yrs for my return..when askd hp,they said they wont ship the recovery cds anyware else except the US ....when i talked to the customer care here at india...they said that hdx 16 hasnt been released in india there fore no support for it here in india,.....plz any one help me.......

    Can't you have it shipped to a friend in the US and have him ship to India?

    You will not be able to get the recovery disc out of that partition, however, you can actually use the recovery partition for, well, recovery. Hold ESC while the computer boots and press the key indicated for Recovery. It will automagically restore your laptop to the state it left the factory in.

    as i have erased the mbr in the c dive while changing my OS i am not able to boot in to the recovery partition when i press the f11..
