    recovery partition, can i delete?

    hi, i have a dv6645us hp pavilion, and i would like to know, can i delet the recovery partition? what happen if i delete? i have the restore dvd for vista

    The recovery partition is basically the OS, bloatwares, drivers, and everything that was included when the computer first arrive. The partition is designed for recovery, basically you are suppose to burn the data from the recovery partition using HP's recovery manager. After you burned them, you can just delete the partition. As long as you has a way to recover your system from a critical failure you can delete the partition. You can also order the recovery disk, though I think HP charges a fee for them.

    delete it with a passion since you got the cds.
