ok i managed to get all my xp drivers on my freshly installed xp except for the firewire driver. i still however have a d drive listed as HP_RECOVERY
    it list
    free space 2.04gb
    total size 11.5 gb

once i open the d drive there is a folder called recovery but there is nothing in there .
i tried to use the recovery using f11 on boot up to see if i can go back to vista if need be but nothing is happening. i know i can get the recovery disk from best2save.com but i want to see if i can get the recovery partition working.

    any ideas please
