I got a remote control for vol, movie player etc. Is there a slot on the laptop that i can put this into or should i just carry the remote control around by itself?

Regarding monitor display, i find that the max is 1200x768. is that all that i would get on this series? I didnt do any upgrades when i bought the laptop.

    thanks,
    PN

The remote control can be stored in the expresscard slot, look on the left side of the notebook to find the slot. Usually the slot will have a "blank" filler card in there you will need to remove (push it in to release it) that and then place the remote in there.

The dv5 series comes with a choice of 2 display resolutions 1280x800 or 1680x1050 you should have either one of them. You should check your windows properties (or ATI control center) to confirm which on it is.
