so i have a huge screen issue, it always flickers and stuff. even so, it seems to be fixed (kinda) when i apply pressure to the screen. therefore, i am assuming something is loose.

anywhere a visual tut on how to remove, take apart, and put back together the screen?

if you are lucky it might just be the monitor cable being loose.

hp does a really good job providing manuals for their notebooks. in the service and maintenance manual available for nearly all new hp notebooks is always a section on how to disassemble the notebook.

the one for the dv5t youll find here :

read the removal and replacement procedures, they are very detailed.
    hope it helps

Speaking of screens, I accidentally closed the lid on an object and now there's a small dark spot on the screen. Is there anyway to remove it, or lesson it's appearance? If doesn't effect the screen function but you can see it on and during light backgrounds.
