    hi all,

as the title states i want to know if i can add a Graphic card( probably an 8800) on my HP HDX 18t( model= X18-1175EE).I know that the general answer is no, however, lately i ve been hearing that you can actually add one if u have an expansion slot( i think mine is level 3).

If you search the internet, you will find some external video cards that connect using the pcie/pc card slot. The reviews I've read say that since the slot is PCIE 1, and most built in video cards are PCIE 16, that even though the external card is better then the installed card, the through put is less, so there is no gain. I would only consider this if the video on your laptop has failed, and you want to keep using the computer.
