request to provide install disk for XP on dv9000 series

steven munoz: hi bret, i hate the windows vista on my laptop
steven munoz: is there anyway i can get XP on it?
steven munoz: i have so many problems using windows Vista
Bret: I am really sorry to hear that you are uncomfortable with the Operating system Vista.

Bret: Actually HP doesn't recommend changing the Operating system on the Notebook other than the preinstalled one.
steven munoz: isn't microsoft supporting downgrades to XP now?
steven munoz: HP should provide XP drivers, no?
Bret: Could you let me know why do you want to change the Operating system on the Notebook?
steven munoz: because all my other computers are XP and do not have the same issues as my new laptop with Vista. software doesn't all work, very slow, the screen always flashes, bad network connectivity, shorter battery life, etc.
Bret: That's really unfortunate that you are facign these many issues.
steven munoz: i read on many forums many people are having the same issues
Bret: Steven, then in this regard let me proivde the solution.
Bret: Are you chatting from the same Notebook which has the issue?
steven munoz: yes

steven munoz: and since i did, my problems are gone

steven munoz: the laptop is 400% BETTER

steven munoz: however, i would like HP to provide XP supported isntallation disk
steven munoz: but in case i catch a virus, i don't want to look for all the drivers again...it was tough to do

Bret: Steven, HP is designing the Notebook so that the hardware configurations on the Notebook supports Vista Operating system.
Bret: And the option which you are referring to is not available so far.
steven munoz: do you have any idea if it will be?

steven munoz: yes, let them know that XP drivers ARE available for every component on this particular laptop
Bret: So that they would forward the information and your queries to HP Research department.

steven munoz: i have had NO issues since installing XP and the drivers and i think many customers would appreciate and XP install disk
