Ill probably be making my purchase tonight but i was just wondering if it was possible to return the notebook if better deals become available (for example: new e-coupon, better hardware such as video card or hdds).

I read somewhere that you are able to return your notebook up to 21 days since your purchase, is this so? Do you have to explain why you are returning or not?

Anyways, thought it would be good to know in case a better deal comes along.

also, can i buy the 2year extended warranty for my laptop a few months after i buy my dv9500? or should i get it right away? the reason i ask is because that way i dont have to spend an extra $140 right away.

    thanks!

yes you can upgrade your warranty policy

as for the returning for new technology......its hard to say when stuff is about to be released, upgraded. I would just buy something you are happy with now, and hopefully it lasts you two or three years

usually manufacturers will allow returns/exchanges within the 21 days or 30 day period.

but would you always do that if you return it and purchase another system at a better deal, then a new coupon comes out?

warranty can be purchased as long as the system warranty is still valid

i would actually be willing to return it if a better ecoupon comes along such as the 20% one that was around a few weeks ago.

Retailers generally allow 14 days for full refund as long as you do not open the box. Otherwise, it is a 15% restocking fee. They usually have a 30 day price matching guarantee though. Find a better deal at a competitor, bring in the advertisement and get the difference refunded to you (often 110%).

If you buy the laptop directly from HP, they have a 25 day return policy without a restock fee. It's one of the most liberal I have seen out of many companies. They ask you for a reason for your return, but anything will do. However, if there is a price discrepancy, you can point it out to a CSR and they will refund you the difference.
