Hello. I just bought a new Presario with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and I'm having problems running my second monitor. My new laptop has the pentium dual core with 3G of ram. My extra monitor is a CTL 19" wide screen and the new Presario won't produce the same resolution as the main screen on the computer. My former Presario (6yrs old), had no problem running a second screen.

I have been told that this could be a vista problem, which is ok because I was going to reload XP anyway. But I'm kinda concerned that this could be a driver issue which would probably force me to scrap my current monitor. I have tried to adjust all the settings but with no luck.

I'm not very familiar with this type of issue so I would appreciate anyone who understands this and could give some advice.

    Thank you in advance.
