Hey guys I had some very general questions, I just bought a corsair force gt 60gb SSD to put into my new dv7t laptop so I am wondering what the steps are on installing windows 7 on the new ssd.

Correction I know how to do it pretty much, my question is once I have windows 7 installed on the SSD, can I pretty much take it out and put it on another laptop and it will boot up with my files and OS am I right?

Reason why I ask is because I am getting the dv6 I had tried to cancel from HP a bit earlier than the dv7 so I thought what the heck, let me get the OS installed on the SSD from the dv6 so once the dv7 arrives I can just pop it in and it would be ready to use?

Could it be that simple or should I just wait till I get the dv7 and make the upgrade then.. thanks in advance

Yeah I actually been reading some other forums and decided to test it out on a dv6 laptop I just did a fresh install of windows on the ssd and everything worked just fine.. plus once installed the additional bloatware was gone so its a win win
