I am using V2000 and already have used several laptops before. By the way, I feel screen of V2000 looks dull than laptops I used like toshiba or IBM. My v2000 does not have brightview tech.

Your v2000 or dv1000 screen with brightview looks darker somewhat when compared at other makers' laptops? In fact, I felt screen of
ze4000 of HP was dull as well.

    I just bought a new v2000.
    The screen is not dull.
Just press Fn + F8 to increase to full brightness.
I prefer the non-brightview TFT,to prevent excessive reflections.
