    screen lights up dimly when plugged into charger

    i have just noticed this. when my dv4t is turned off and i plug in the charger, the screen's backlight will light up a little. the backlight is extremely dim though and i will only notice it when in a dark room. is it normal for the backlight to light up when charging.

    When the computer is plugged in, Vista will switch power settings according to the settings in your current power profile. That is probably the cause of this behavior.

    i mean this is when the laptop is off. the backlight will have light up slightly

    No, I don't think that's normal; I've never heard of that occurring. But, it seems harmless enough if it isn't causing any problems.

    This is a default setting on my dv5 too, it reduces backlight when on battery power to conserve battery life.

    Search 'power options' in the start menu then click 'adjust the display brightness' to get to the screen shown in the attatchments, then you can change the settings if you want.

    no man. this is when the computer is off. when i plug the laptop in to charge the backlight will come on even thought the notebook is off
