    Hi all,

I'm having an issue with my HP Envy 13 where the graphics almost always get distorted. I started w/ HP OEM drivers, had the issue, then updated to latest ATI drivers (over the HP OEM drivers) and still have the same issue.

Odd part is that it has to be software driven since I can capture it. See my two examples here.

Anyone have ideas? I'd be happy to lose hybrid power savings if that would fix it. I've also sent this back to HP and all they did was wipe the hard drive... What a waste.

    Thanks!

That blows because the E13 is such a nice machine IMO - almost as thin as the Macbook Air.

Can you explain why you believe it is not hardware related?

If it were hardware related (something like a loose connection or something) how would I be able to take a screenshot of it?

Granted that is a pretty simplistic view of things, but seems logical to me.

Also on top of that I sent it back to HP to have the video card replaced and they left it alone (although that doesn't say much of anything).

That would depend entirely on the hardware that was messed up. If your GPU is messed up, you'd still be able to take a screenshot of it.

Ok, in that case, I don't really know what's screwed up. If it's the GPU, then all I have to go on is that HP didn't replace it as requested.

Call and get something done. Explain what happened and how you sent it in and it is still not repaired. Remember the rep has the power to get things done and it isn't her/his fault they didn't fix it so don't be mean to them but also make sure they do something about it.

Yes, I was, thank you. HP accepted the machine back and replaced the motherboard.
