I have a couple of question that i can't find the answers to, or i'm too thick to understand the answers i get.

the first is will my laptop read/write to a 4gig sd flash card.

The second is if it can't can it be made to. (update drivers or firmware)

the third obviousLy is if the answer to two is yes how. and if the answer to one is yes why can't mine.

ps i almost forgot the important bit.
my laptops nx6325, bog standard from the shop. running xp home.

    thanks bookworm.

I'm not sure, but I doubt it, considering my nw8440 wouldn't recognize a 4Gb SDHC card when I tried using the built-in SD reader. Since your nx6325 is built around the same timeframe as mine, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work. But I'd still try it out, just to be sure. After all, at Costo at least, a SanDisk UltraII 4Gb SDHC card comes with a USB SDHC reader, so I'd go ahead and give it a try.

The Ricoh card controller chip used by Samsung in some of its notebooks will work with SDHC when running Vsta but not with XP. I don't know what the controller in the HP is, but I think you will be lucky if it works with SDHC since you are running XP.

I have Vista Ultimate and before the reader wouldn't read the SDHC card. Then Vista detected an update for the Ricoh card reader and now it can! Don't have to get a separate reader now. I have both the 4 and 8gb SDHC. Loving my laptop even more. I have a dv2138xx w/ AMD CPU
