i just bought a compaq v2000z and am wondering whether to get 3 yr parts and labor warranty for 130 or 3 yr accidental for 350. i am somewhat careless and have a two year old who gets into everything. is the accidental worth the price?

You might want check into getting a rider on your homeowners/renters insurance. It will be less expensive than HP's coverage and will cover things like theft which HPs will not.

I would not get a 3 yr accidental warranty because the it costs half as much as the laptop. If you want some extra warranty, take the 3yr parts and labour and try to put the laptop on the higher bookshelves :)
