    shipped friday still no tracking information?

    ok so my laptop showed as shipped on friday and i got a tracking # but still no information on the package hmm whats going on :(

    I called and they said its like 1 of 600+ packages held at customs still she said though it was fedex express and if it got approved and shipped which would earliest be is tomorrow i would get it the next day (thursday). is this correct? i thought they send all there packages fedex express to the states to the distro centers then from there fedex ground to the actual delivery place.

    finally they released it said should be here tomorrow although i dunno how thats possible from anchorage alaska to mesa arizona in 1 day considering doesnt it have to go to indiana first to the "distro centers?" im only worrying since ive had nothing but problems thru this process with hp that when i get the notebook something will be wrong with it and ill have to return it :/ im pessimistic :p

    Yeah, the promise of tomorrow sounds fishy -- unless they expedite it as if it were an overnight package in order to compensate you for the time it lost sitting around. Which would be the right thing to do.

    Meanwhile, mine is sitting in Indianapolis, apparently. Brilliant -- fly it from Newark to Indy before it goes to Atlanta. Makes perfect sense.

    I bet everyone else is really interested in our ongoing tracking sagas... ;)

    If you called up HP and asked the order status, then dont believe it. They just look up the Fedex tracking number and check the same information that will be available to you. They just go by the arrival date as mentioned by Fedex.

    thats what fedex has been telling me, i have been calling several times and everyone i've talked to at fedex has been confidently saying as soon as u.s customs releases it, it should arrive the next day, so i was like how is it going to anchorage to indiania to mesa in 1 day (describing how HP sends it to the distribution centers first) she said it would arrive in phoenix the next morning then i should arrive it in the afternoon? unless she knows something i dont know ;[


    can't wait to actually get this thing its going to be leapyears ahead of what i got now :p got a desktop dell tower celeron d 2.4ghz, 512mb of ram, 80mb ide 7200rpm 2mb hdd, intel extreme graphics controller (96mb)

    UPDATE AS OF 9:24PM its in Oakland, CA so it looks like i might really get it by tomorrow

    Ok looks like HP has several distribution centers depending where you live if your closer to the east side its indiana and westside its california/dallas mine landed in california so i think I will get it today :)
