Hello
help, I bought the 9220 from CC last night over the web, I wanted the 9320 but it was out of stock at checkout, well today it is back in stock, but my 9220 has been shipped so
beside the 40 gig pump in hard drive space, I'm more worreied about the processer and bus speed the 9220 has, is there a big difference??
I will be using the laptop as a DTR, mainly for web, email, word, excel and I want to start doing some video editing,
should I keep my 9220, or send it back and wait on a 9230?
thanks for any input,
Keith

The bus speed probably won't make much of a difference for what you are doing. The hard drive is only important if you need the space.

Hey.
I know this is besides the point, but I am interested in buying an HP dv9000 series notebook, and amazon is the only site I know I can trust, but they have a limited selection. What's CC? Can you give me the link to that website?
Anyway, I'm not sure what the specs are, but think about what kind of work you do on your laptop. What's the most demanding? Is it really going to be noticable? Would it be worth sending it back?
If you need the extra space and processer speed, then by all means, go for it. But if it's just because you want the better model, keep aware that newer models will just keep on coming. Stick with what works. -

CC, I think is Circuit City.
Judging from the specs, I' say the 9320 would be better. But honestly, for what you are doing, its not going to make much of a difference. You have to ask yourself if the extra 40 Gigs is something you need and if its worth the extra cost. I would get the dv9230us (probably would have found some place else that sold it before I settled on the 9220) The only reason I say that is because the processor is better. I don't know if I would send my dv9220 back though -
What are the differences (in terms of price and specs) between the two?

I just compared the two at circuitcity.com. For $20 more dollars (after rebates, etc.), you get a little, though insignificantly, faster processor (1.6 to 1.7GHz). However, you go from 160GB to 200GB in hard drive. If you plan to keep the computer for a few years, I would go ahead and exchange it. If it's not too much hassle to get the dv9230, the 40GB alone would be worth it to me.

for $20 the upgrade is worth it

thanks for all the input, still need to decide, I'll sleep on the decision,
thanks again!
