You cna't plug the card directly in. But I don't think it saves the music on the SIM anyway, the storage capacity of those cards is tiny. Are you sure there's not another memory card? If not, it's internal. So you should be able to transfer via Bluetooth or cable, depending on what came with the phone.

what brand is the phone. Some phones have memory sticks that are really small and need some additional gadget in order to fit in the card reader. Do you have a card reader on one of the sides of the laptop?

Now-a-days many phones are using Mini-SD,(and some with MMC). You can not store MP3 songs on SIM card(GSM SIM) That one typically has only 32K of memory and new versions offered by cingular has 64K and that max sofar.

If it is Mini-SD( most likely) you can get a adapter so that you can use it as regular SD card. If it is a Windows mobile version, you should be able to use Microsoft Active Sync with usb connection to PC and should be able to drag and drop the files.

Anyways, let us know what is the Make and Model of the phone, I can tell you what it is using and how to transfer.

As I explained you above this phone used Mini-SD card.
You can buy one of these memory
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820155263

This one includes SD card adapter. So any SD card reader can read it, including yours(if you have a card reader at all). SD reader is most common among the card readers.

If you already have enough memory, but just need the adapter
you can buy something like this for cheap price which also comes with adapter and 128MB memory

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820161214

Anyways, best of luck with you phone.
