    slow boot-up...

    Hi, a little advice please :( my laptop is having a boot-up problem, it is ketchup slow...I mean, it took it more than 2 minutes to load up...I tried evrything (basic ones) just to cut off the time, but to no avail...I run spyware, virus scan, defrag it, run bootvis, disable start-up program...

    my pc is on my sig :(

    How much HDD space are you using?

    I had 20% free on my 80GB, then upgraded to a 160GB HDD (same speed) and boot-up times are super fast again. You might want to delete/transfer some stuff to an external source and see if it makes a difference.

    Go to start/run then type MSCONFIG from there you can disable alot of the stuff that is loading up on startup.

    you can go to Run > services.msc and disable some of them. do some research before disabling any required services
