anyone just throw caution to the wind and do this? I know my desktop system gets all nasty inside, but at least I can give it a good cleaning.

I have no idea how to clean a laptop and I can see it overheating more easily.

Just wondered what smoker's thoughts are on this and if you get it serviced to be cleaned occasionally or have had it fail on you from overheating.

Go to CompUSA (even though all of them are closing soon) Best Buy, or any other computer/electronics store and buy a can of compressed air. One thing that is VERY IMPORTANT! ALWAYS KEEP THE CAN UPRIGHT, IF YOU TIP IT SIDEWAYS OR UPSIDE DOWN IT WILL SHOOT OUT A FREEZING CHEMICAL AND WILL MESS UP YOUR COMPUTER!!!!!

You can then take off the compartments on the bottom of your laptop and give it a couple sprays as well. Also, spray off any vents on the laptop as well.
