my friend bought me a 6535s in seoul and now i have some questions about that

1.Because the HP laptop is global warranty so my laptop is waranted in my country,of course there is a HP customer service in my city.So they will check the serial number product number before warrant my laptop right ?Because my friend bought online so there's no piece of paper

2.maybe i will reinstall XP replace the VIsta basic, but when i want to come back to the first time i will use HP recovery right ?

3.i see in the box " this product may be used ...european unit "
below this is a French "... restrictions 's applicquant a'l'utilisation de ce materel ..vquilliez vous...documentation"
... is black by the HP so i cant see

dont know what it means?

    1) All you have to do is register your HP product on their website and when you take it in for service, they usually check the registration you applied online.

    2) Yes. But make sure you burn your recovery discs first, then reinstall XP. If you ever want to come back to Vista, then use the recovery disc, or clean install Vista.

    3) It's used? That's not good, is it refurbished? Ask your friend.

By the way, how much was that in US dollars? Convert for me please.

Don't bother with XP. I mean, I know it's a personal choice, but Vista is just as stable as XP is these days. So unless it is a ram issue, stick with Vista, and if it is a Ram issue, buy more ram! :)

I don't think you should post it on the boards...you could PM me if you'd like.

Also, he has Vista basic...I'd rather have XP than Vista Basic.

Kucku does it look used in any way? I wonder why they would put that in the box. Anyway, as long as there are no signs of it being "used" then I think you're fine.

Here's a link to the drivers for Windows XP (Home or Professional):

Let me know how your XP install goes.
