    startup problems

    hiya guys im all new to the forum so hi and hope alls well unfortunately for me all aint well as i have a startup problem, though i have a feeling its my cd dvd drive as everytime i try and burn dvds with convertx the programme freezes and also i just installed this 2nd hand drive which i purchased from ebay as my old one was done but now im also having starup problems even when it takes me to starup repair it stalls on a black screen


    please help any responses welcome

    what happens when you boot without a disc in the drive? I at times will get stuck at a black screen right before the logon page if i had a disc in the drive. Also have you tried burning a CD in another application?
